The Bear Valley Music Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission supports great music and music education in Bear Valley. We could not do this without our dedicated corps of volunteers! From ushering at our concerts, to assisting with office work, our volunteers are at the heart and soul of our organization. Benefits of volunteering include fantastic music, concert ticket vouchers, fun social events, and great company.
If you have never volunteered for the Festival please join our local businesses, homeowners and area residents who help every year. We could not do it without them and we invite you to join in the fun and sense of community spirit as new volunteers –along with those who return year after year –supporting our Festival.
Our volunteer coordinator, Director John Ennals, is hard at work with this year’s volunteer outreach effort. He’s looking everywhere, from the Valley to the Bay and up and down Highway 4 and 49. Even those with very busy schedules can help on a limited basis and are greatly appreciated. Most of our past volunteers began with just one event and grew from there.

Great Opportunities to Volunteer
Ushers
The best sound-track any volunteer job ever had! Over 25 dynamic music lovers join us each summer to welcome our patrons to our concerts. Our volunteer Usher corps! They take the tickets, hand out the programs, escort folks to their seats, answer most common questions and make sure folks know where all the exits and facilities are located.
Office Volunteers
The volunteer job with a flexible schedule! Help the Festival administrative staff with mailings, poster hanging, archival projects, and more. Refreshment and Merchandise Volunteers
Join Susi Lewis’ crew of food and beverage servers, pouring wine, selling treats and light meals and helping clothe our audience with Festival hats, T-shirts and other gear.

Donate housing or house a musician- Housing musicians is another important way residents support the Festival and homeowners will find that housing guidelines and compliance has improved significantly from years past according to Director Shelly Mathews, our Housing Coordinator. Housing is vital to the Festival and is now professionally managed just as any visitor rental would be through Bear Valley Real Estate in compliance with all rental rules and requirements. Housing a musician in your home has also been a very rewarding experience for many homeowner and their families. Musician and resident friendships have lasted a lifetime and interaction between them has surprised and delighted many with rewards beyond what they could have anticipated.
